eton manor 30 civil service 41 Good win after a shakey start

Welcome to the new season and Civil Service opened their campaign with a heart stopping performance chasing the Eton Manor score as they ran the score up to 18-7 (Civil Service try scored by Wihan Grobler converted by Andy Thompson) by the end of the first half. Eton Manor were playing with better shape and some well practiced moves and kept the game in the Civil service half for good periods. After half time Civil Service steadied the ship scoring a quick try scored by Brendan Robinson 18-12, Eton Manor responded and ran in another unanswered try and conversion 25-12 and almost in the same breath scored again 30-12. Civil Service appeared unsure and nervous and the supporters began to question the unsettling changes that had occurred over the last few months of which there have been many. Suddenly as if struck by lightening, possibly the sharp tongue of the coach Nigel Rosser and the use of replacements Civil Service went on the rampage. Finding their form and confidence taking Eton Manor apart in open play to the shock of their supporters running 4 tries inc 1 Penalty try 3 conversions and a final penalty to rub it in, to finish elated at 30-41 a really great fight back in true Civil Service tradition. Tries scored by Darryl Gore, Aaron Campbell, Duncan Rutherford(penalty try), Wihan Grobler  conversions Andy Thompson.
